McDonalds Half Marathon receives IAAF Bronze Label status!
We are absolutely delighted to announce that the McDonald’s Half Marathon has received IAAF Bronze Label status in 2019. This places us on the world stage with only three other road races in Australia holding IAAF label status and only 17 Half Marathons globally in 2019.
So, what does this mean for you? For elites, not only does this categorise us amongst the best races in the world; for any of our competitors looking to run a personal best, this status signifies that this is one of the fastest Half Marathon courses in Australia. The IAAF label is also a strong reflection of our consistently superior standards in race organisation, safety and runner experience. The 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon has always aimed to deliver the highest quality course and facilities possible and with this Label status, that is only set to improve.
We couldn’t be prouder to receive this IAAF Bronze Label status and celebrate both the hard work we’ve put in and the support we’ve received from the community since the event’s inception in 2012.
