“Run Queensland is honoured and super excited to be hosting the first ever Queensland Ultra trail 50km Championship on behalf of Queensland Athletics at the Blackall100. We can’t wait to share the stunning trails of the Sunshine Coast hinterland with the best 50km runners in the state” (Brett Standring, Run Queensland). Blackall100 will be held on 18th October 2025.
Also new in 2025 is the Queensland Road Mile Championship, to be hosted by Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport Marathon Festival on 3-4 May 2025. This Festival is only in its second year and the first year a mile race is included in the weekend. The Runway Mile will be held the night before the other events in Toowoomba (Sat 3rd May).
Gold Coast Marathon will again host the Queensland Marathon Championship on 6th July 2025. The winners of this Championship will earn a chance to compete in GCM’s sister event, Kobe Marathon in Japan later in the year.
EVA Air Sunshine Coast Marathon will again host the Queensland Half Marathon Championship on 3rd August 2025.
The Queensland 10km Championship will again be hosted by EVA Air Brisbane Marathon Festival on 1st June 2025.
The 5km Championship will be hosted by Gold Coast Marathon on 5th July 2025.
All Championships are open to Queensland residents and in the open (male and female) categories only.
