In various shapes and forms, Distance Culture has been a part of the Brisbane running community since 2009. It started with coach Michael Whiting and national steeplechase medallist Daryl Crook training together and continued to grow organically over the next decade. We provide an environment for serious, committed runners to take their passion and turn it into performance at the next level.
We have runners competing in everything from 1500m all the way to the marathon and do the bulk of our training at the University of Queensland, with our main workouts on Tuesday night and Saturday morning. Our squad has athletes ranging from 18 to 40 years of age, male and female. We are a tight-knit squad, all love our running and pride ourselves on fostering a team environment that trains smart, trains hard and has fun.
